.DISCUSSION...High pressure over the region which will keep
conditions clear and dry. Friday morning there is a temperature
inversion, with the tops around 1600 feet in elevation. This
inversion will lift around 1400 but there may be a weak inversion
still present above 4000 feet. This inversion rebuilds overnight
to similar levels but moister at the surface. Winds will generally
be terrain and diurnally driven with some gustier winds along the
ridgetops in the afternoon through the channeled terrain.
Humidity will recover well overnight but daytime humidity,
especially on Friday, will be quite low. Saturday`s conditions
will start to moisten as the high pressure weakens and a strong
front shifts eastward from the Pacific. With higher humidity
overnight and the surface inversion in place, there is a 20%
chance for patchy fog formation, especially in drainage bottoms.
Want to note that the incoming system which will arrive on Sunday
has the potential to produce a significant amount of wetting
rains.

For mixing heights, please see the official forecast of the
Oregon Department of Forestry.
