Today is the coolest and windiest day of the week with low chances for rain mainly north of Lake Tahoe. West winds 15-25 mph valleys and 55-65 mph Sierra ridges expected this afternoon. However, overnight recoveries and minimum RH above 15% will hinder critical fire conditions. Temperatures rise to 10-20 degrees above normal with low chances for storms expected in the afternoon hours starting Wednesday. Note: Thunderstorms imply gusty and erratic winds.
