portions of the northwest Hill Country and the Heartland this
afternoon...

Hot temperatures are expected across West Central Texas today.
High temperatures will reach 100 degrees across western portions
of the northern Edwards Plateau...the Concho Valley and the Big
Country this afternoon. In addition...heat index values will reach
near 105 degrees across portions of the northwest Hill Country
and the Heartland this afternoon. A Heat Advisory may be needed
later today if temperatures or heat index values climb above 105
degrees this afternoon.

Those spending extended time outdoors and not acclimated to this

taking frequent breaks out of the sun and heat.
