.DISCUSSION...A cold front will remain stalled to the north of the
site through much of the day today, maintaining warm dry and breezy
conditions. Southwest winds will increase once again beginning
mid-morning, with gusts to near 30 mph late morning through the
afternoon. This front will approach the area late this afternoon,
which will result in a few high based showers and thunderstorms
around the area after 1500. Strong microburst winds to 50 mph will
be possible with this initial round of storms, with little if any
rainfall.

The front will cross the site between 1700 and 1900, switching winds
to the west. Winds will remain elevated from the west through mid
evening before tapering and becoming northerly. With the frontal
passage RH will quickly rise as moisture temporarily spreads into
the area. Scattered showers and thunderstorms behind the front will
bring about a 40 percent chance for measurable rainfall this evening,
with a 20 percent chance for wetting rains. With the increase in
moisture, good overnight RH recovery can be expected tonight.
Unfortunately this increase in RH will be short lived, as the
moisture quickly mixes out Tuesday allowing afternoon RH to once
again fall to near 20 percent.
