At 854 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles north of Quincy to 9 miles south of Greensboro, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Quincy, Havana, Midway, Greensboro, Gretna, Attapulgus, Freemont, Littman, Juniper, Douglas City, Darsey, Florence, Hosford, Scotland, Jamieson, Laingkat, Calvary, Santa Clara, Shady Rest, and Amsterdam. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for southwestern Georgia. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 100 AM EDT for Big Bend Florida. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
