.DISCUSSION...Skies will be partly to mostly sunny today with a
chance for showers and thunderstorms mainly across southwest and
south central South Dakota. High temperatures will be in the 70s.
Winds will become south to southeast at 5 to 15 mph later this
morning and afternoon. Relative humidities will drop to 25 to 35
percent across northwest South Dakota, 35 to 50 percent elsewhere.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

The grassland fire danger index will reach the low category this
afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture
content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground,
indicate that the probability of a fast moving fire is low.
Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be performed
with reasonable safety precautions, but should be monitored.

The outlook for Sunday afternoon, The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
