.DISCUSSION...Mostly cloudy skies are expected today with highs in
the mid 50s to mid 60s. Showers and isolated thunderstorms are
expected, but mostly over southern South Dakota. Minimum relative
humidities will range from the 30s over far northwest South Dakota
to the 50s over southern South Dakota. Northerly winds will
increase to 15-25 mph with gusts to 30-40 mph over central South
Dakota.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

The grassland fire danger index will reach the low category this
afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture
content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground,
indicate that the probability of a fast moving fire is low.
Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be performed
with reasonable safety precautions, but should be monitored.

The outlook for Wednesday afternoon, The grassland fire danger
index will reach the low category.
