.DISCUSSION...It will be partly cloudy this afternoon. There is a
chance of thunderstorms across northwestern South Dakota. High
temperatures will be in the 80s and the minimum relative humidity
will range from 20 to 25 percent. Winds will be south-
southwesterly 15 to 20 mph. A cold front will enter far
northwestern South Dakota late this afternoon with winds shifting
to the northwest and increasing this evening.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

The grassland fire danger index will reach the low category this
afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture
content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground,
indicate that the probability of a fast moving fire is low.
Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be performed
with reasonable safety precautions, but should be monitored.

The outlook for Saturday afternoon, The grassland fire danger
index will reach the low category.
