...NWS Meteorologists Confirm EF1 Tornado in West Damascus
Township of Wayne County PA...

The National Weather Service office in Binghamton NY is currently
finishing up a storm survey in West Damascus Township of Wayne
County PA, and has confirmed that a tornado occurred around 620 PM
EDT on May 27, 2024.

Maximum winds were 90 mph, which rates as EF1 on the Enhanced
Fujita Scale. A final assessment with more details of the survey
is expected to be completed and transmitted via a Public
Information Statement by later this evening.
