...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN MECKLENBURG...
SOUTHEASTERN LUNENBURG AND BRUNSWICK COUNTIES THROUGH 1145 PM EDT...

At 1101 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles south of Kenbridge to near La Crosse to
near Norlina to near Henderson. Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Heavy rain and frequent lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible. Frequent
         cloud to ground lightning strikes.

Locations impacted include...
South Hill, Lawrenceville, Kenbridge, Brodnax, Brunswick, La Crosse,
Alberta, Gasburg, Ebony, Dundas, Bacons Fork, Cochran, Beechwood,
Gills Corner, Dolphin, Bowens Corner, Meredithville, Forksville,
Bracey, and Edgerton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
