However, levels are expected to remain below established flood stages, and any overflow along the river should be of minor nature. Stay tuned to later forecast for possible additional rises. The Cahaba River at Suttle. * At 8:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 6.0 feet. * Action stage is 28.0 feet. * Flood stage is 32.0 feet. * Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 28.9 feet Sunday morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter. * Impact...At 32.0 feet...Flooding of pasture lands and low-lying agricultural lands occurs in the Suttle area. The Cahaba River at Marion Junction. * At 8:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 5.4 feet. * Action stage is 15.0 feet. * Flood stage is 36.0 feet. * Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 31.8 feet Sunday morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter. * Impact...At 15.0 feet...Flooding around Oakmulgee Creek begins and cattle need to be moved to higher ground. Overflow of pasture lands increases at stages above 20 feet. Another statement will be issued by Wednesday morning, or sooner if conditions warrant. Please stay tuned to NOAA Weather radio or your local media for later statements concerning this event. It is emphasized that these forecasts are based on rainfall that has already occurred and on additional rainfall expected during the next 48 hours. If more rainfall than is currently forecast occurs it may become necessary to revise these forecasts upward. $$
