The Cahaba River at Suttle. * At 9:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 6.1 feet. * Action stage is 28.0 feet. * Flood stage is 32.0 feet. * Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.4 feet Saturday evening. * Impact...At 32.0 feet...Flooding of pasture lands and low-lying agricultural lands occurs in the Suttle area. The Cahaba River at Marion Junction. * At 9:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 5.4 feet. * Action stage is 15.0 feet. * Flood stage is 36.0 feet. * Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 32.7 feet early Saturday morning. * Impact...At 15.0 feet...Flooding around Oakmulgee Creek begins and cattle need to be moved to higher ground. Overflow of pasture lands increases at stages above 20 feet. Another statement will be issued by Wednesday evening, or sooner if conditions warrant. It is emphasized that these forecasts are based on rainfall that has already occurred and on additional rainfall expected during the next 48 hours.
