For the following areas...
Waters from Edisto Beach SC to Savannah GA out 20 NM...
At 101 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
waterspouts was located near Port Royal Sound, moving north at 40
knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
Locations impacted include...
Fish America, General Gordon, Port Royal Sound, Gaskins Bank
Wreck, Gaskin Banks, Beaufort 45 Feet Reef, Whitewater Reef,
Calibogue Sound, Fripp Island Wreck, Fripp Inlet Buoy and Savannah
River Entrance.
