The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Waters from Edisto Beach SC to Savannah GA out 40 NM...

* Until 130 AM EDT.

* At 1234 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located 8 NM west of R7 Tower, moving north at 55
  knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create
           locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged
           in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Beaufort 45 Feet Reef, Betsy Ross Reef, General Gordon, Hunting
  Island Reef, Fripp Island Reef, Fripp Island Wreck, Hilton Head
  Reef, Fripp Inlet Buoy, Port Royal Sound, Fish America, Gaskins
  Bank Wreck, Gaskin Banks, Whitewater Reef, Saint Helena Sound and
  Pelican Bank.
