...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EASTERN WAYNE...SOUTHWESTERN
LAUREL...SOUTHEASTERN PULASKI AND NORTHERN MCCREARY COUNTIES THROUGH
730 PM EDT...

At 651 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Coopersville, or 8 miles southeast of Monticello, moving northeast at
30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Burnside, Slavens, Sloans Valley, Parkers Lake, Gregory, Bronston,
Huxley, Mount Victory, Ritner, Denney, Kidder, Wiborg, Coopersville,
Holly Bay Rec. Area, Greenwood, Alpine, Grade, Kidds Crossing,
Baldrock, and Quinton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
south central Kentucky.
