786 FZUS63 KDTX 221341 GLFLH Open Lake Forecast for Lake Huron National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac MI 941 AM EDT Sun Sep 22 2024 For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A weak low pressure system, 29.80 inches, moves into northern Ohio River Valley into Lake Erie this evening through tomorrow morning. This will bring widespread rain with embedded thunderstorms, and will also push in a cold front across the Great Lakes starting late tonight, which will flip wind direction from SSE to NNW/NNE. A second low pressure system, 29.70 inches, will move through the southern Great Lakes Tuesday into Wednesday morning, bringing another round of active weather.
