...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF NORTHEASTERN ST.
HELENA AND NORTHWESTERN TANGIPAHOA PARISHES, SOUTHWESTERN PIKE AND
SOUTHEASTERN AMITE COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM CDT
...

At 528 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Kentwood, or near Greensburg, moving north at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Greensburg, Kentwood, Osyka, Gillsburg, Easleyville, and Tangipahoa.

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 53 and 66.
 Interstate 55 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 5.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
