...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN DUPAGE COUNTY
THROUGH 245 PM CDT...

At 230 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
West Chicago, moving east southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Wheaton, Bartlett, Carol Stream, Hanover Park, Addison, Glendale
Heights, Glen Ellyn, West Chicago, Bloomingdale, Winfield, Itasca,
Wayne, and Medinah.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
