National Weather Service Marquette MI
1001 PM EDT Sat Jun 1 2024

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A weak 29.9 inch trough over western Lake Superior
this evening dissipates tonight as it continues east across the
lake. On Sunday, weak 30.0 inch ridging develops across the
western Great Lakes. As this ridge shifts east toward the Lower
Great Lakes Sunday night, a 29.6 inch trough moves northeast from
the the northern Plains toward Minnesota and northern Ontario.
This trough weakens on Monday as it continues northeast through
northern Ontario, leaving Lake Superior between weak high at 30.0
inches over Quebec and a 29.7 inch trough over Minnesota. On
Tuesday, a 29.2 inch low pressure tracking across the Canadian
Prairies will push the trough eastward to the Upper Mississippi
Valley. The trough deepens to 29.4 inches by Wednesday morning
over Lake Superior while the parent low tracks into Manitoba.
These low pressure features then look to slow down for Wednesday
and Thursday as they meander eastward through northern Ontario and
the Upper Great Lakes.
