Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.2 inch high pressure system centered over the
central Appalachians tonight will allow for weak ridging of 30.0
inches over Lake Superior. Low pressure averaging 29.6 inches
will track from northern Manitoba into far northern Quebec through
the weekend. Meanwhile, a 29.4 inch low pressure will track from
the eastern Dakotas into Ontario Sunday night and Monday, which
will push a cold front across Lake Superior. Weak ridging at 29.8
inches follows over the Upper Great Lakes Tuesday as a 29.2 inch
low develops over southern Manitoba. This system will enable a
29.5 inch trough to settle over Lake Superior Tuesday night into
Wednesday.
