.DISCUSSION...
Temperatures will be hot once again today however increasing surface
moisture will keep afternoon relative humidity values higher than
the past few days east of the I-27/US-87 corridor. A dryline is
still expected to mix into the western South Plains and far
southwestern Texas Panhandle this afternoon and to the west of this
feature humidity values will dip to near 10 percent along with a
period of breezy south winds which may result in elevated fire
weather concerns. East of the dryline thunderstorms are expected to
develop this afternoon and shift to the southeast this evening.
Gusty and erratic winds, large hail, and frequent cloud-to-ground
lightning will be the primary concerns.
