If this scenario pans out, northern sections of the state could receive significant rainfall Thursday and Friday. A lot will depend on where the storm system goes. If the system remains nearby, then the rain will come. If the system wobbles toward the Tennessee Valley, the rain will mainly affect areas to our north and east.
