...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN MONROE COUNTY THROUGH
445 AM CDT...

At 421 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Pala Alto, or 9 miles northwest of West Point, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Aberdeen, Prairie, Gattman, Binford, Sipsey Fork, New Hamilton,
Quincy, Wise Gap, Athens, Strong, East Aberdeen, Muldon, and
Greenwood Springs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 AM CDT for northeastern
Mississippi.
