FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
436 AM EDT Sat May 25 2024

...GUSTY WINDS POSSIBLE TODAY ACROSS WESTERN UPPER MICHIGAN...

.DISCUSSION: In the wake of overnight rain across Upper Michigan,
a dry day with temperatures climbing to near 70F is expected.
Together, this should yield RH values approaching 40% for most
interior locations. Deep mixing today will also support gusty
westerly to southwesterly winds. Current thinking is most
locations in the west are most likely to see winds near 20 mph,
but gusts as high as 30 mph can`t be ruled out. Lighter winds are
expected in the east. Isolated showers and maybe a thunderstorm
will be possible this evening across the west.

A low pressure will move into the area Sunday into Monday,
creating widespread moderate rainfall amounts. Wet pattern
continues through Tuesday, before a dry second half of the week.
