HAWKINS...NORTHERN WASHINGTON...NORTHEASTERN GREENE...CENTRAL
CARTER...SOUTHEASTERN SCOTT AND SOUTHWESTERN WASHINGTON COUNTIES AND
THE CITY OF BRISTOL THROUGH 515 AM EDT...

At 418 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles southeast of Norton to 10 miles north
of Tusculum. Movement was east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol Tn, Bristol Va, Elizabethton,
Abingdon, Gate City, Jonesborough, Weber City, and Central.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 600 AM EDT for east
Tennessee. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 600 AM EDT
for southwestern Virginia.
