It will be dry, very warm, and windy across most of the plains this afternoon. Critical fire weather conditions will occur over the east slopes of the southern mountains, mainly below 7500 feet, mainly through this afternoon. A few showers will occur across the Continental Divide mainly this afternoon. Later tonight, a cool front will push across the district, and this will bring a bit cooler air to the region on Sunday. 20 foot winds will be much less tomorrow as compared to today. For Monday. maximum temperatures will be 2 to 3 degrees warmer than compared to Sundays high temperatures. winds will continue to be relatively light. Through mid week next week, temperatures will only slowly warm up, but nonetheless they will be a few degrees above seasonable values for this time of the year. There will be slightly better chance of some showers and afternoon storms during the mid week time period.
