At 1104 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles northwest of Fremont, or 17 miles northeast of Smithfield, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Nashville, Wilson, Elm City, Bailey, Sharpsburg, Lucama, Stantonsburg, Black Creek, Saratoga, and Sims.
