.DISCUSSION...
Hot and humid conditions will continue across the region through at
least Tuesday, with afternoon temperatures climbing into the lower
to mid 90s each day. However, showers and thunderstorms that will develop
this afternoon over Westcentral and North Texas into Central Oklahoma
ar expected to shift east and could affect portions of extreme Northeast
Texas, Southeast Oklahoma, and Southwest Arkansas late this evening and
overnight, before diminishing late. The potential also exists for
scattered showers and thunderstorms Sunday evening/overnight across
portions of Southwest Arkansas and North Louisiana, ahead of a weak cool
front that will drift south into extreme Northeast Texas and Southern
Arkansas Sunday night before becoming stationary late. Min RH`s Sunday
will remain abnormally high for this time of year, ranging from 50-60+%,
but range from 40-50% Monday. The weak front should drift south across more of
East Texas and North Louisiana Monday, and could provide focus for isolated
storms over these areas Monday. Slightly cooler temperatures are expected
for mid and late week, although the potential for showers and thunderstorms
will exist Wednesday through Friday across much of the region.
