The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Waters from South Santee River SC to Savannah GA out 40 NM...

* Until 630 AM EDT.

* At 503 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located 8 NM northwest of Capers Mid Shelf, moving
  north at 65 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create
           locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged
           in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Charleston Sixty, Joe Shuford Reef, Edisto Offshore Reef,
  Lowcountry Anglers, Kiawah Reef, Charleston Nearshore Reef, Air
  Force Reef, Charleston Coastal Anglers, Rattlesnake Shoal,
  Charleston Harbor Entrance, Capers Reef, Edisto Sixty Reef, N.
  Edisto Nearshore Reef, Doug Mellichamp Reef and Capers Mid Shelf.
