...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN JEFFERSON...
NORTHWESTERN CLARK...SCOTT AND SOUTHEASTERN WASHINGTON COUNTIES
THROUGH 715 PM EDT...

At 645 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 9 miles northeast of Scottsburg to 12 miles
south of Salem. Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Scottsburg, Vienna, Lexington, Blue River, New Pekin, Smyrna, Borden,
Kent, Fredericksburg, and Wakefield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
