A few showers and a modest thunderstorm or two will be possible across northern Missouri and west-central Illinois this afternoon, but this activity will be sporadic. Otherwise, gusty northwest winds can be expected, with humidity that may fall slightly below 40 percent for a brief period during the afternoon. Dry, mild conditions with light northerly winds can be expected Wednesday, which will continue into Thursday but with slightly increasing easterly winds.
