For the following areas... Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Sandy Point MD... Chester River to Queenstown MD... At 859 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 7 nm east of Worton Point, moving east at 15 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 48 knots, and large hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Boaters could easily be thrown overboard by suddenly higher wind and waves capsizing their vessel. Boats could suffer significant damage in high winds and hail. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Locations impacted include... Baltimore Light, Gibson Island, Bodkin Point, Pinehurst, Sevenfoot Knoll, and Rock Hall.
