Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Helene is well inland near 35.1N
83.8W at 11 AM EDT, moving north at 28 kt. Maximum sustained
winds are 40 kt with gusts to 60 kt, and the minimum central
pressure is 975 mb. Strong winds and rough seas over the NE Gulf
waters will dissipate this afternoon into tonight. Light to
gentle winds and slight seas will prevail across the basin Sat
through early next week.

.THIS AFTERNOON...SW winds 15 to 20 kt in the afternoon. Seas
7 to 10 ft in NW swell. Scattered showers and isolated tstms.
.TONIGHT...S to SW winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms.
.SAT...S to SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms.
.SAT NIGHT...S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft. Scattered showers
and isolated tstms.
.SUN...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft. Scattered showers and

.SYNOPSIS....Tropical Storm Helene is inland near 35.1N 83.8W at
11 AM EDT, and is moving north at 28 kt. Maximum sustained winds
are 40 kt with gusts to 60 kt, and the minimum central pressure is
975 mb. Helene will weaken as an extratropical cyclone near 37.3N
85.6W this evening, move to 37.5N 86.5W Sat morning, 37.5N 86.4W
Sat evening, 37.5N 86.1W Sun morning, 37.6N 85.7W Sun evening, and
dissipate Mon morning. Winds off the Florida east coast will
improve this afternoon into tonight, with seas subsiding below 8
ft by tonight. Elsewhere, Hurricane Isaac is near 37.4N 46.8W at
11 AM EDT, and is moving east-northeast at 16 kt. Maximum
sustained winds are 65 kt with gusts to 80 kt, and the minimum
central pressure is 981 mb. Issac will continue moving away from
the area, but generate N swell that will propagate into waters N
of 30N and E of 60W, producing seas near 8 ft today.

.THIS AFTERNOON...S to SW winds 20 to 25 kt in the afternoon.
Seas 6 to 9 ft. Scattered showers and isolated tstms.
.TONIGHT...SE to S winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and S to SW 15 to
20 kt N of 27N. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Scattered showers and isolated
tstms.
.SAT...S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered showers and
isolated tstms.
.SAT NIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.
