.SHORT TERM...Tonight through Friday night...Pacific cold front
now inland over the Cascades as of 2 PM MDT. Ahead of it are
gusty southwest winds in eastern Oregon, especially in Harney
County. The front will pass through eastern Oregon this evening
and western Idaho late tonight, weakening as it moves. Front will
still be strong enough for scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms in northern Baker County this evening, then
scattered showers but no thunderstorms in northern Valley
County/ID overnight. Sunny Thursday and about 8 degrees cooler
than today, with light west/northwest winds. Sunny and several
degrees warmer Friday as a 500 mb high gradually builds northward
from the Great Basin.

.LONG TERM...Saturday through Wednesday...Warming will peak
Saturday under southwest flow aloft between the Great Basin
high and the next upper trough from the north Pacific. A dry
cold front will lower temps 5 to 10 degrees Sunday followed
by breezy west/northwest winds. After the upper trough moves
east Sunday night another warming trend with clear skies will
begin under a broad upper ridge over the western states.

.AVIATION...VFR. Cold front will move across eastern OR 26/00
to 26/04Z and western ID 26/04 to 27/10Z. Scattered -SHRA
north of KBKE-KMYL 26/02Z to 26/10Z. Isolated -TSRA north of
KBKE 2602Z to 26/06Z. Surface winds: S-SW ahead of the
approaching cold front. SW gusts to 35 kt in eastern OR.
W-nw winds 5-15kt behind the front.

KBOI...VFR. Scattered mid-level clouds 26/02Z-26/12Z, then
clearing. Surface wind S 10-15kt, shifting to NW 26/04Z, then
decreasing to 5 to 10kt after 26/09Z.

kt, becoming mostly SE 6-12 kt after 24/19Z. Winds at 10kft MSL:
northeast 5-15 kt, becoming southeast 10-15 kt by 24/21Z. Gusts
over 20 mph after 25/18Z.
