235 NZUS99 KGJT 290805 SYNGJT For eastern Utah and western Colorado, here is the latest weather synopsis Expect another round of isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms over the mountains this afternoon/evening. The main threat from this activity will be strong outflow winds and lightning. Elsewhere, dry and warmer than normal conditions will continue with winds becoming breezy during the afternoon. A slight cool down is expected Thursday and Friday as a system brushes the north, forcing a cold front across the region. However, by this weekend, temperatures are expected to rebound, climbing back to around 5 degrees above normal where it will stay through early next week. Meanwhile, afternoon/evening shower and thunderstorm activity is expected to continue over the mountains each day.
