  S of Cape Lookout NC to Surf City NC out to 20 nm...

* Until 1215 AM EDT.

* At 1108 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located near New River Inlet, moving southeast at
  15 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Ar342, New River Inlet, Bogue Inlet, Ar345, Ar340, and Ar330.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
