...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONE 937...
.DISCUSSION...Chinook flow will develop today and create critical
fire weather conditions over the slopes of the Alaska Range near
Delta Junction with south winds peaking in the afternoon to 30 mph
gusting to 45 mph. Min RH will be around 20 percent. Elsewhere, it will
be near critical fire weather conditions from the Parks highway east
as temps in the remainder of the Tanana Valley reach the lower
70s with min RH values into the teens again. South winds will be
gusty in the afternoon to 25 mph with sustained winds around 15 mph.
Chinook flow weakens tonight with slightly cooler temps Wed and
more chances for showers developing in the afternoon, mainly over
higher terrain. Min Rh values will also rise into the low to mid
20s percent. Shower chances increase on Thu with much cooler temps
and higher min RH values into the 30 percent range.
