...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the
  following county, Richland.

* WHEN...Until 930 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 835 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Columbia, Dentsville, Killian, Lake Carolina, Villages at
    Sandhill, Sesquicentennial State Park, Blythewood and Cedar
    Creek Fire Station.
  - This includes the following highways...
    Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 78 and
    83.
    Interstate 77 between mile markers 21 and 29.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don`t drown.
