Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
155 PM MDT Thu May 23 2024

.DISCUSSION...

A strong cold front is bringing some areas of light precipitation
in the form light snow across much of Carbon county and is
beginning to spread into Albany county. Ahead of this front
temperatures have warmed up allow for minimum relative humidity
values to drop to around 20%. Winds will begin to increase as the
afternoon progresses turning gusty by the early evening. These
elevated winds will impact all of SE Wyoming and the Nebraska
Panhandle through the overnight hours. We could see a brief
window late this afternoon of some elevated fire conditions as
winds begin to gust around 40 mph, overall the fire weather
concerns heading toward the end of the week will remain low.
