...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM EDT
THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...East winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected
  with locally higher wind gusts possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, south central, and southeast
  Kentucky.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
  Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
  especially for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest wind gusts are expected during
  the morning into the afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and
avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution
if you must drive.

...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...East winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
  East winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts of 60 to 70 mph possible
  for locations above 2000 feet such as the Log Mountains in Bell
  County as well as along Cumberland, Pine, and Black Mountains and
  locations immediately downwind of these locations.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Kentucky.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
  Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
  especially for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...US Highway 23, US Highway 119, US Highway
  421, KY Highway 38, KY Highway 74, KY Highway 160, and the Little
  Shepard Trail may be affected by some of the strongest wind gusts.
