The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Biscayne Bay...
  Coastal waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL out 20 NM...

* Until 615 PM EDT.

* At 439 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located over North Bay Village, or over Indian
  Creek, moving northeast at 10 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, and large
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Boats could suffer significant structural
           damage in high winds and hail. Small craft could capsize
           in suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Sunny Isles, Key Biscayne, Hallandale, Cape Florida, Virginia Key,
  Bay Harbor Islands, Port Everglades, Miami Beach, Bal Harbour,
  Golden Beach, Surfside, North Bay Village, Indian Creek, Hollywood,
  and Fort Lauderdale.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, large hail, high waves, dangerous
lightning, and heavy rain are possible with this storm.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
