...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM EDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN MORGAN...WESTERN CAMPBELL AND SCOTT COUNTIES...

At 141 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Great Meadows
Campsites, or 8 miles northwest of Oneida, moving southeast at 45
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Oneida, Jacksboro, Huntsville, Helenwood, Jellico, Caryville,
Winfield, Sunbright, Rugby, and Elk Valley.

This includes Interstate 75 in Tennessee between mile markers 135 and
161.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 600 AM EDT for east
Tennessee.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
