...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN RUTHERFORD...
SOUTHEASTERN POLK...SOUTHWESTERN CLEVELAND...NORTHERN SPARTANBURG AND
NORTHWESTERN CHEROKEE COUNTIES THROUGH MIDNIGHT EDT...

At 1117 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles north of Spartanburg, or near Boiling Springs SC, moving
northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Gaffney, Forest City, Rutherfordton, Boiling Springs SC, Spindale,
Boiling Springs NC, Cowpens, Inman, Blacksburg, and Mayo.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
