High pressure will extend over the local waters through the middle of the week with a weak pressure pattern in place. An area of low pressure is expected to becoming a tropical cyclone across the southern Gulf of Mexico by mid-week. This system will track northward across the central or eastern Gulf of Mexico through the end of the week and could have local impacts.
