National Weather Service Marquette MI
338 PM EDT Thu Sep 26 2024

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...30.0 inch ridging over the Great Lakes this afternoon
holds into Saturday, despite the remnants of a 29.5 inch tropical
system over the Southeast and a 29.8 inch low over Hudson Bay.
High pressure ridging builds over the Upper Great Lakes to at
least 30.1 inches on Sunday as a 30.2 inch high pressure moves
west to east through northern Ontario. The ridging diminishes by
Monday as a 29.5 inch low lifting towards Hudson Bay brings
troughing of around 29.7 inches back over Lake Superior. Behind
this, a 30.2 inch high pressure from the Northern Rockies drops
into the Central Plains and brings ridging of at least 30.0 inches
back over Lake Superior by Tuesday.
