.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Saturday...Isolated showers and
thunderstorms are expected over the higher through this evening.
Wind gusts to 40 mph will be possible with this activity. Strong
to severe storms will be possible across the Urban Corridor and
eastern plains.
Temperatures warm and relative humidities will be lower on Saturday.
Better coverage of showers and thunderstorms is expected over the
mountains, foothills, and nearby plains. This activity is expected
to be generally weak with gusty outflow winds 50 mph and light
rainfall. Strong to severe storms will be possible across the
eastern plains.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday night through Wednesday...
Upper ridging will dominate the weather through the period.
Afternoon humidities will drop into the teens for a few hours
over the plains most afternoons, however winds speeds are not
expected to be very strong. Fire weather conditions will be
elevated over the plains, but should not reach critical levels.
Smoke dispersal should be very good to excellent in the
afternoons for much of the forecast area each day.
