Including the cities of Northwood, Hoffmeister, Caroga Lake,
Sabattis, McKeever, Ilion, Mohawk, Old Forge, Big Moose,
Nobleboro, Wells, Frankfort, Eagle Bay, Long Lake, Herkimer,
Little Falls, Atwell, and Dolgeville

...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
THURSDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 3 and
  10 inches possible.

* WHERE...Hamilton, Northern Fulton, and Herkimer Counties.

* WHEN...From late tonight through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be difficult. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and
  evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates could exceed 1 inch per hour
  in portions of the southern Adirondacks on Wednesday. Visibilities
  can be become quickly reduced due to falling snow. Highest
  snowfall accumulations on Wednesday is currently forecasted to
  remain north of the New York Thruway (I-90) in Herkimer County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
