...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 3 AM
CST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 5 and
  7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Crow Wing, Aitkin, and and Cass Counties. This includes
  the Tribal Lands of the Mille Lacs Band, East Lake and, Big Sandy
  Lake areas.

* WHEN...From noon today to 3 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  will impact the Tuesday evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow rates of 0.5 to 1.5 inches per hour are
  expected late this afternoon into early evening and may occur
  during the evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in

TO 9 AM CST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and
  7 inches.

* WHERE...Pine and Carlton and South St. Louis Counties. This
  includes the Tribal Lands of the Fond du Lac Band and the Mille
  Lacs Band, Hinckley and, Lena Lake areas.

* WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 9 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  will impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There may be a tight gradient in the northern
  extent of the heavy snow. Portions of the I-35 corridor will see
  heavy snow while others will not see high totals. At this time the
  most likely areas to see 5 to 7 inches of snow are from Cloquet
  south to Pine City. Duluth may only see 4 to 6 inches. Snow rates
  of 0.5 to 1.5 inches per hour are expected this afternoon and
  evening from Moose Lake south to Pine City between 4 and 8 pm. The
  heavy snow will be falling during the evening commute and will
  create additional travel difficulties.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and
  6 inches.

* WHERE...Price, Burnett, Douglas, Sawyer, and Washburn Counties.
  This includes the Tribal Lands of the St. Croix Band in Burnett
  County and the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation.

* WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to 9 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions will impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning
  commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heavy snow rates of 0.5 to 1.5 inches per
  hour are expected this evening from 5 to 10 pm over Burnett,
  Washburn, Sawyer, and Price counties. Those heavy snow rates will
  create additional travel problems during the evening commute.

  drizzle. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch. For the
  second Winter Weather Advisory, snow expected. Total snow
  accumulations between 3 and 5 inches.

* WHERE...Itasca, Central St. Louis, and Southern Lake Counties.
  This includes the Tribal Lands of the Bois Forte Band, Lake
  Vermilion and, Deer Creek areas.

* WHEN...For the first Winter Weather Advisory, until 6 AM CST early
  this morning. For the second Winter Weather Advisory, from noon
  today to 3 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes.

  Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Bois Forte Band,
  Nett Lake area and the Grand Portage Reservation. Other locations
  including Voyageurs National Park. The entire Boundary Waters is
  also included.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM CST early this morning.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

* WHERE...Ashland, Bayfield, and Iron Counties. This includes the
  Tribal Lands of the Bad River Reservation, the Red Cliff Band and
  the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band. Other locations
  including Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands National
  Lakeshore.

* WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to noon CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  will impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.
