...HEAVY UPSLOPE MOUNTAIN SNOW SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE BY WEDNESDAY...

.As a clipper-like system approaches from the Ohio Valley, upslope
flow will intensify along and west of the Alleghenies. Temperatures
will quickly cool with the approach of the trough. Multiple waves of
upslope aided snow showers are likely, some heavy at times. Several
inches of snow are possible across western portions of the counties.

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH
THURSDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 4 and
  6 inches possible, locally up to 10 inches along the ridgetops.
  Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Western Grant and Western Pendleton Counties.

* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.
  Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Initially mixing in with rain, expect a
  change to all snow by mid-morning on Wednesday. Snowfall picks up
  in intensity on Wednesday afternoon and evening where rates of 1
  inch per hour are possible. Blustery winds will lead to areas of
  blowing snow and significant reductions in visibility.
