Naches River near Cliffdell affecting Yakima County.
For the Naches River...including Cliffdell, Naches...Moderate
flooding is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Naches River near Naches.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Moderate flooding is possible from
Cliffdell downstream to Yakima.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:45 AM PST Tuesday the stage was 19.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:45 AM PST Tuesday was 20.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall to 18.7 feet late tonight. It
will then rise to 19.5 feet late Thursday morning. It will
fall below flood stage Friday evening to 16.3 feet Monday
afternoon. It will then rise to 17.1 feet Tuesday, December
16. It will fall to 16.8 feet Wednesday, December 17. It will
then rise above flood stage Thursday, December 18.
- Flood stage is 17.8 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 1:00 PM PST Tuesday was 31.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage this evening
to 30.6 feet late tonight. It will then rise above flood
stage early tomorrow afternoon to 31.7 feet Thursday
afternoon. It will fall below flood stage again early Friday
afternoon to 30.1 feet Monday afternoon. It will then rise to
30.6 feet Tuesday, December 16. It will fall to 30.5 feet
Wednesday, December 17. It will then rise above flood stage
again Thursday, December 18.
